India adventure next

3. september 2015

Great to be back. Have so much to write about so I am starting today. Not sure where to start but I feel I need to tell you all about my new club and adventure that is going to happen for the next 4 months.

It has been known for a long time that I am going to India. Couple of weeks ago it was announced that I have signed for Delhi Dynamos. I have signed a 2 year contract. The season in India is short and finishes in December, which means I have the chance to go on loan from January until the summer.

I am very excited about this move and really look forward to seeing a different part of the world, getting to know a new culture and help The Indian League grow. I know many people questioned my decision, but people who knows me well understand why I am going there. I am a person who loves to do different things in life. I have always said to myself: I want to sit in my chair when i am 80 years old knowing I lived my life the way I wanted to, I took some chances and I did what I felt was right for me.

I have now been with my new team for 3 days. I have to admit I was very nervous when I sat on the train from Oslo to Gothenburg. We have a 3 week pre season here before flying to India. I decided to do as I always have and took charge from the first session. First player on the pitch, talking and shouting during training and the man in front when we did some running. It is all about eat, sleep and train for the next 3 weeks. Great feeling although I do get very tired.

I am very honored to have my big idol Roberto Carlos as coach. He has been my inspiration and the one left back I looked up to when it comes to playing as a left back, shooting and passing. Knowing he is my coach is just amazing. I was starstruck the first time we shook hands. I know I will learn a lot from him and it gives me so much energy to work even harder knowing he is my coach.

I do use Snapchat a lot, so feel free to follow me there, Riise3.
